SceneSeed is a free tool for improv teams to collect audience suggestions during a show. This page explains what's collected, what's not, and how it's used. If anything below is unclear, treat the most user-friendly interpretation as the correct one.
What's collected from audience members
- The text of the suggestion you submit.
- The timestamp of submission (server time, used to enforce the show's submission window).
- If the host has turned on name collection for this show, the first name you choose to share โ optional or required depending on the show's setting. The field is up to 50 characters of plain text. It's visible to the host on their dashboard alongside your suggestion.
- No email. No IP address logging. No device fingerprint.
What's collected from hosts (people who sign in)
- An email address (used to sign in and identify your account).
- A display name, if you provide one.
- The shows, groups, and suggestions you create.
